PTT 0301 - OMO VALLEY (13 DAYS/12 NIGHTS)
Day 1:
Arrive in Addis Ababa to a warm welcome by PTT staff at the airport, and then
transfer to your hotel. Morning will be free. Afternoon, start your sightseeing tour
of Addis Ababa, starting your tour from the Trinity Cathedral, visit to the
National Museum (archaeological and historical), which has the best collection of
Ethiopian antiquities and archeological discoveries, including the famous oldest
hominid “Lucy”; then drive up to Mt. Entoto, the highest part of the capital, where
you will have a panoramic view over the town of Addis Ababa; a visit to the adjacent
church of St. Mary; a drive down to the biggest open air market in East Africa
called Mercato.
Drive back to the hotel for overnight.
Day 2:
Drive from Addis to Arba Minch, visiting the Rift Valley lakes en route. Lunch will be at Shashemene, followed by an afternoon drive to Arba Minch via Wolayta village. Overnight at Swaynes Hotel.
Day 3:
Morning drive to Dorze village, and then a visit to the traditional village of Chencha, where you will sure be fascinated by the waving style of the Dorze people. Lunch will be at Swaynes Hotel. In the afternoon, you will drive to Lake Chamo for a boat ride. On Lake Chamo you will adore the longest African crocodile, as well as some aquatic birds. Overnight at Swaynes Hotel.
Day 4:
Drive from Arba Minch to Jinka, visiting the Konso and Derashe people on the way, and having a rest at Woyto village. Continue to Jinka and also visit the Ari, Bena, Tsemi and Hammer people. Overnight at Jinka.
Day 5:
Drive from Jinka to Mago. In the morning, visit the Mursi village. Lunch will be served on the way in lunch boxes. In the afternoon, have some rest at Mago National Park, and then late in the afternoon, make a game drive in the park. Make an overnight camp in the National park.
Day 6:
Drive from Mago National Park to Karo village, visiting the green trail of the Mago National Park en route. In the afternoon, visit the Korcho village. Make an overnight camp at Korcho or Murulle camp site.
Day 7:
Drive from Korcho to Turmi via Dimekea weekly market, which is a colorful market of the Hammer, Bena and Tsemai. Lunch will be served in lunch boxes. In the afternoon, arrive at Turmi and rest at Evangadi Lodge. Later in the afternoon, visit the Hammer village around the camp site. Make an overnight camp in Evangadi Lodge.
Day 8:
After breakfast, you will make a day excursion from Turmi to Omorate, 70 Km away from Turmi, then cross the river by local boat to go visit the Omo Geleab people. Return to Turmi for lunch. Afternoon will free. Make an overnight camp at Evangadi Lodge.
Day 9:
Drive from Turmi to Konso via Erbore village. Lunch will be served en route. In the afternoon, visit the Konso village. The Konso are popular for their unique trussing style. You will get to visit their community house. Overnight at Konso Edget Hotel.
Day 10:
In the morning, drive from Konso to Yabello, where you will visit the Borena people and see their cultural and traditional ways of extracting salt from the Crater Lake. Also, you will visit the singing wall. Overnight at Yabello Motel.
Day 11: 
Drive from Yabello to Langano, taking in a spectacular view of extensive farming land for millet and maize. Lunch will be served at Wondogent Resort Hotel. In the afternoon, you will visit the Abijata Shalla National Park, the hot spring at the Northern corner of the Abijata lake, and the Ostrich farm. Proceed then to Wenny or Bisangari Lodge for overnight stay.
Day 12:
Drive back to Addis Ababa, visiting the crater lakes of Debre Zeit, popular for its bird life, on the way. In the evening, meet at the lobby and then drive to the traditional restaurant, where you will enjoy traditional Ethiopian music performances at a fare well dinner.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 13: Departure.
